
 Mark Pendleton is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Breeden Realty, the commercial leasing and sales division of The Breeden Company. Mr. Pendleton is responsible for commercial land acquisition, maximizing the income of the portfolio of commercial properties, overseeing the marketing of all commercial and retail properties, and negotiating all national commercial leases and outparcel sales. He is a part of the Executive Management team of The Breeden Company which is responsible for developing a vision for all emerging commercial projects.
“I have a sense of fulfillment seeing a development go from paper to structure,” he says about constructing a new retail development. “Today, the creativity of the retail and commercial market is what drives me to be more innovative and competitive.” Mr. Pendleton has been involved with anchored in line retail centers, unanchored retail centers and more recently in mixed use Lifestyle Centers such as Towne Center West in Richmond, Virginia and Villages of Stoney Run in Newport News, Virginia.
Mr. Pendleton has over 17 years of experience in commercial property brokerage. In 1991 he joined The Breeden Company as a Commercial Leasing Agent where he was responsible for securing local and national tenants and negotiating lease terms. In 1996 Mr. Pendleton became the Vice President of the Commercial Division for The Breeden Company and in 2000 he was promoted to the President and Chief Operating Officer of Breeden Realty.
Mr. Pendleton holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. He currently resides in Suffolk, Virginia with his wife Renee and their daughter Nicole.
