Ray Breeden to receive VBSPCA's Inaugural Lifesaver Award

Beach SPCA to Recognize Ramon W. Breeden Jr. with Inaugural Lifesaver Award
Virginia Beach, Virginia – January 14, 2011 – The Virginia Beach SPCA announced today that it has selected Ramon W. Breeden Jr., Chairman of the Board and Founder of The Breeden Company, to receive the organization’s first-ever Lifesaver Award. He will receive the award at the VBSPCA’s “Back to the Beach Spring Gala” on April 9, 2011, at the Cavalier Beach Club.
The award recognizes Breeden for his generous financial support of the VBSPCA and its programs, promotion of adoption initiatives and community events through his commercial properties, and for leading the rental housing market in responsible, pet-friendly policies.
“I am honored to accept the first-ever presentation of this award by the VBSPCA. This is truly an altruistic organization performing a monumental act. Supporting the VBSPCA is a cause that is near and dear to my heart.”
The VBSPCA presents the Lifesaver award to true heroes in the Hampton Roads Community and beyond. This year’s recipient, and those in the future, will have shown a commitment to “being a lifesaver” by his or her actions. Directors and staff select the winners and nominations are welcome from throughout the region.
