Joe Flanagan covers The Breeden Company's Newest Residental Development
VIRGINIA BEACH -- A massive apartment complex is being built near I-264 and Independence.
The property was once owned by the Sandler brothers in Virginia Beach. The Breeden Company bought the land from the Sandlers and plan to develop an upscale multi-family housing development.
456 apartment units will become a complex named Cambria at Cornerstone.
"It shows the importance of being diversified. A few years ago, housing, you could do no wrong. Now it almost feels like the same thing is happening in apartments," said developer Torrey Breeden.
The apartments will open in two phases beginning April 15. The complex will feature two club houses, two swimming pools, and a fitness center.
One, two and three bedroom units will start at $1,100 per month.
